Supernatural Teenage Horror Film - Haunted Forest Brings Spine Chilling Tale This Christmas Season

Sream! Shiver! Love. Learn. The only horror film in Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 showcased four of the promising young actors and actress of this generation, Jane Oineza, Jameson Blake, Maris Racal and Jon Lucas.

Regal Films made their return to MMFF extra-memorable this year as they offer not just a typical horror film but a fresh, compelling narrative that features a new terrifying creature that will surely leave a mark on the hearts and in the minds of moviegoers this Christmas.

If the kids of the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's enjoyed different, uniquely-Regal iconic horror creatures like the manananggal, Aswang, tiyanak, pridyeder and undin, this 2017 is the perfect time to give the new generation of moviegoers - the millenials and zentennials - with their own uniquely-Regal horror character, Sitsit.

The four young stars are happy to do this horror film as they were given a chance to show their acting capabilities and experience to be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival. Watch as the cast Jane Oineza, Jameson Blake, Jon Lucas and writer Jeps Gallon share their fond moments and take us behind the scenes in filming Haunted Forest. They also share their personal horror stories and their beliefs in Philippine mythical creatures.

Written by Jeps Gallon and under the direction of international award-winning director Ian Loreños, Haunted Forest  will revolve around the estranged relationship of Aris (Raymart Santiago), a policeman and her daughter Nica (Jane) and a mysterious elemental inside the haunted forest that would change their lives forever.

Direk Ian admitted that it's a great challenge to work on a horror film that follows the long tradition and excellently crafted Regal films. This Christmas they will take the audience to an uncomfortable place. a realm where nothing is safe. Where everyone can be a victim or the suspect. They would also not just be creating fear but also reflection of their viwer's lives - which they think about family, friendship and love which was really truly matters to them.

Aside from the Regal teen stars, also part of the Haunted Forest are seasoned actors Raymart Santiago and Joey Marquez. Completing the cast are Jerald Napoles, Betong Sumaya, Myrtle Sarrosa, Beverly Salviejo, Fiona Young and Kelvin Miranda.

Will the dreaded Sitsit strengthen or is it off to destroy Aris and Nica family? Will Nica's friendship Mitch (Maris), RJ (Jameson) and Andre (Jon) help out in the solving the mystery behind the haunted forest? Don't miss the Regal Entertainment's official entry to the MMFF 2017, Haunted Forest to be shown on theaters nationwide beginning Christmas Day, December 25.
