Movie Review: 100 Tula Para Kay Stella

Throughout his four years in college, Fidel, a stuttering student, tries to finish 100 poems dedicated to Stella, an aspiring but frustrated rock star, to win her heart.

100 Tula Para Kay Stella is a  heartbreaking love story that works well with the great performance by JC Santos & Bela Padilla. It is kind of love story that everyone who fall in love can relate to. I feel the pain and love on this love story of Fidel and Stella. The characters speak openly about their vulnerabilities, which makes them sympathetic. JC Santos embraces his  character so well and I appreciated Bela Padilla's roller coaster of emotion.

If you loved Kita-Kita you also have the same feels with this film. The movie is well written, balanced with good songs and great poems all throughout the film. This is a major throwback film for youth in early 2000's and for sure a lot of memories will remind this generation of their college years. Watch out for the heartbreaking scene of Fidel and Stella as it will truly make your heart cry out loud.  Over all 100 Tula Para Kay Stella is a satisfying local romantic movie that manages to avoid being too cheesy and close to reality.

My Verdict:  4/5
