My Take on Upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2015

Gone are the days where the MMFF is the battle of fantasy genre and long time film franchise. I also miss the quality drama genre or family oriented film every Christmas. This year's MMFF would be a battle of loveteam from the phenomenal love team, AlDub to established love team, KimXi & Jadine up to Marnella, Jernella and the initial team up of Jennylyn and Jericho and even the team up of the real life best friends Vice Ganda and Coco Martin. Here's my yearly prediction on one of my anticipated and favorite movie event of the year , the Metro Manila Film Festival. This is based on the trailers and the buzz that the film is making.

Based from the trailers, promotion and reception of the audience for of all MMFF entries here's my take:

My Top 4

I am happy that this film made it to MMFF. We need this kind of film in this festival. A quality and worth watching film. I hope people will add this on their list to watch this season. Watch the heartwarming trailer and you will engage to see this. I love the theme song as well.

Another promising film from the makers of the last year's phenomenal MMFF entry English Only, Please. Surprisingly, based on the trailers Jericho and Jennylyn got chemistry together. I think this film will add a bit of a serious  drama element to the formula romcom that the filmmaker's successfully done last year. I am looking forward to this film.

Based on the trailer, I am impressed with the production design, look and treatment of the film. I got curious with the story and TJ Trinidad's scary character. I think they'll give a different kind of horror in a local film. This is one of the films I am excited to watch in MMFF as a fan of a horror film.

Comparing to Vice Ganda's entry last year I am most exited to see this film probably because of Coco Martin and JaDine. Infairness the theme song Chuva Chuchu is engaging and the punchlines on the trailer still works for me. Grabe sya oh!

The other remaining entries

The first teaser of the film for me is kilig especially with the themesong Ikaw ang Aking Mahal. Of course Aldub chemistry is undeniable it feels so natural and authentic. Let's see on how's AlDub will do on a silver screen.

I think this is a feel good movie to watch this Christmas with an all star cast that truly the fans will enjoy.

With the cast and plot of the film I think is a perfect local teen horror flick to watch this Christmas especially for the fans of the typical local horror flick.

I am looking forward to the story and the combined Filipino-Japanese element in an action horror suspense local flick. This is also a bonus for the Maria Ozawa fans to see her on a big screen in a local film.
