Whenever Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) touches a lapel pin with the
letter T on it, she finds herself transported to Tomorrowland, a city
filled with huge robots and sleek buildings. The gifted young woman
recruits the help of scientist Frank Walker (George Clooney), a previous
visitor to Tomorrowland, who years ago made a startling discovery about
the future. Together, the two adventurers travel to the metropolis to
uncover its mysterious secrets, as the fate of mankind hangs in the
balance.
Tomorrowland is a fun adventure with
big ideas and a lot of heart. Visually exciting sci-fi adventure that surely
give you mix of emotions. The visual effects are top-notch, and the storyline
is interesting enough to keep us engaged. The basic specifics about
Tomorrowland get revealed fairly quickly, but there’s plenty to be revealed as
the story progresses, and the real fun is in finding out the motives of
everyone involved, and what caused everything to go wrong in the first place.
While the themes and ultimate revelation of messaging is serious, emotionally
compelling stuff, the journey is tremendously enjoyable and the characters are
charmingly authentic.
I’ve definitely enjoyed watching the film. It always seems
like a breath of fresh air every time Disney releases a new and original
property to the big screen. Tomorrowland is visually stunning like a gleaming
version of the future as seen through the prism of optimism with the contained imagination
of youth and the steady moral strength of Disney. Tomorrowland is one of my
most anticipated films of 2015 and I can say a solid film in which its positivity
and fun action makes sure that at the very least audiences will be entertained.
