Movie Review: Alienasyon

Alienasyon foregrounds the story of a retired university professor who refuses to leave his home in UP Diliman campus despite administrative order of eviction. His whole life bearing witness to Diliman estate's evolution, He is the only remaining gate keeper of the histories of his homeland.

I like the story of the film as it nourish how history is important in our life. This film depicts that past are extrapolated over time and can have radical effects on the present time of the main characters. The films show the history of lands in Diliman Q.C., Japanese invasion in the Philippines and a noble story of a family. I was touched with the premise of the film as it mirrored how our society lurks out on our past. It was an effective portrayal for him in this film.

This is a good film. Cinematography is good, I love the shots. I like the visuals of the film especially in the silent and climax moment. Production Design and editing is good as well and blends in the film. This is a recommended film to watch by everyone to reflect on our past and worked on enriching it.

My Verdict:  3.5/5
