Movie Review: Debosyon

The film is about Mando (Paulo Avelino), a Bikolano devotee of Ina, Virgin of Peñafrancia, Patroness of Bikolandia. Mando injures himself in the middle of the forest at the foot of the Mayon Volcano. He is nursed back to health by a mysterious woman, Salome (Mara Lopez) living there. 

The movie is about faith. Faith to God, Goddesses, Myth and any other things that you have faith of. The movie is quiet you will appreciate more of the environment and feel the surroundings of mountains and forest. As a viewer it depends on how you interpret the film. Acting skills of Paulo here is good much better than in Sana Dati. Mara is a natural actress. Sound scoring of the movie is good as well as the musical scoring
